Freeview
Contrary to popular belief, digital FREEVIEW signals are available now in the Eastbourne and Bexhill area's. For the time being, FREEVIEW signals can only be received from the Hastings transmitter and not from the main transmitter at Heathfield. There are of course a few locations where a signal can not be received but in the majority of cases all that is required is a professional installation of a quality High Gain wideband aerial and a set top box. When switchover takes place Freeview will be transmitted from the main transmitter at Heathfield and from relay stations such as South Cliff Tower, Upperton, Newhaven etc.
If you currently receive your analogue signals from the Heathfield transmitter then we recommend that you consider retaining this signal if you still have an analogue VCR and you wish to carry on recording until switchover.
